This policy explains what the WOGU ("We Only Going Up") website at weonlygoingup.org collects and why. WOGU is a small creator group; the site has a public side for fans and a private, invite-only side for WOGU members.
Visitors
Browsing the public pages does not require an account. We do not run ads or third-party tracking on this site. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.
Messages you send us
When you use the contact form we receive the name, email address, and message you type in, and we store a shortened version of your IP address so the form cannot be abused. We use this only to reply to you and to keep a record of support requests. We do not sell it and we do not use it for marketing. Ask us and we will delete your message.
WOGU members
Members sign in with an email address and password. We store their public profile (name, photo, bio, social links) and their weekly goal progress. Login is handled by Supabase.
Connected YouTube accounts
Members can connect their own YouTube channel. This site uses YouTube API Services. By connecting, members agree to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
With the member's permission (read-only), we access:
- channel details (name, handle, picture, subscriber, view, and video counts);
- their uploaded videos (titles, thumbnails, publish dates, length, privacy status, view/like/comment counts);
- YouTube Analytics reports (views, watch time, average view duration, subscribers gained/lost, traffic sources, top videos, and estimated revenue for monetized channels).
How it's used: to show WOGU members an analytics dashboard, track weekly goals, fill in the crew's content calendar, and list the member's latest public videos on this site. Private analytics are only visible to logged-in WOGU members. We never post, edit, or delete anything on YouTube, and we do not sell or share this data with anyone.
Storage: access tokens are encrypted and stored on our server only; they are never sent to any browser. Analytics snapshots are stored in our database (Supabase) and refreshed regularly.
Removing access: a member can disconnect YouTube at any time from the site's Connections page, or revoke access from their Google security settings. Stored analytics can be deleted on request, and data is refreshed or removed at least every 30 days, as the YouTube API Services policies require.
Cookies
We only use cookies that are needed to keep members signed in and to secure the connect-an-account process.
